LEADING CHANGE LEADING PEOPLE RESULTS DRIVEN BUSINESS ACUMEN BUILDING COALITIONS

Core Competency: Leading People
Leading People is the ability to provide an inclusive workplace that fosters the development of others, facilitates cooperation and teamwork, and supports constructive resolution of conflicts.”

Accomplishments
Facilitated annual self assessment teams for the past eight years. Each year I led Head Start parents, Policy Council members, CAO staff and community representatives through the self assessment process as reviewed and approved by Policy Council and the Board of Directors. 2011 Head Start Self Assessment

Led a team approach in preparation for two triennial Federal monitoring reviews. The team provided training to staff, Policy Council and the CAO Board. I was responsible for facilitating training meetings; structuring notebooks to allow program area managers to organize large amounts of information; uploading pre-review submittal items; organizing the on-site schedule with the Federal Team Leader; and, was secondary liaison while the monitoring team was on-site. I was also able to fix two potential non-compliances quickly, resolving the issues.

Improved the use ChildPlus by Family Service Associates. Facilitated the development of new processes for completing returning applications and tracking family contacts which reduced errors and saved time. Worked with Family Service staff to improve the forms for the initial Head Start Application, Returning Applications and Update Applications, gaining significant efficiencies. Also managed a process to review the use ChildPlus for Family Service to enter applications directly into ChildPlus.
